Chris Piascik est un graphiste-illustrateur américain diplômé de l'Université de Hartford où il enseigne depuis 2012. Avec ses dessins ludiques et colorés (1 post par jour depuis 2007 sur son blog « Daily Drawings ») et ses créations typographiques mélangeant personnages et thématiques, il est devenu une figure influente de sa génération. Il associe à sa pratique artistique une forte dimension militante : en 2008, une de ses affiches est devenue l’emblème de la campagne “Declare yourself” lors des conventions nationales républicaines et démocrates.
Chris Piascik is an American graphic designer and illustrator who graduated from Hartford University where he has been teaching since 2012. With his playful and colourful drawings (1 post per day since 2007 on his blog "Daily Drawings") and his typographic creations mixing characters and themes he has become an influential figure of his generation. He associates his artistic practice with a strong militant dimension: in 2008, one of his posters became the emblem of the "Declare yourself" campaign during the national republican and democratic conventions.
